March 6 // Network Weaving

Workshop with June Holley
March 6th, 10 am – 2 pm
MIG, 800 Hearst Avenue in Berkeley.

RSVP

On March 6th, the Children in Nature Collaborative is offering a workshop led by June Holley. June is a consultant who has been involved with economic and community networks for more than 25 years, after becoming intrigued with the process of community change and transformation.

Forums and gatherings over recent years have often given us inspiring glimpses of the connections, ideas, and actions taking place across the Bay Area. At the same time, the “whole picture” is strangely invisible. Paul Hawken, author of Blessed Unrest, describes a similar phenomenon of social change: individuals and groups inventing pieces, assembling activities into a mosaic, as if solving a jigsaw puzzle, without ever having seen the picture on the box. The purpose of this workshop is creating a larger picture of our work from a network perspective and strengthening our individual roles in reconnecting children, their families, and communities with nature.

An overview of the workshop agenda will be sent in advance of the workshop. A shorter version of the Network Weaver Handbook will be available for purchase. Lunch will be provided.
Please feel free to forward this invitation to any colleagues who are “network weavers”. Please note that a RSVP is required.
